Habitat:
Quercus macrocarpa savanna, formerly heavily grazed, now unused and growing up to shrubby thickets of Ulmus sp., Berberis vulgaris, Rosa multiflora, Ribes missouriensis, Celastrus scandens, little else. Also associated with Crataegus chrysocarpa var. aboriginum (10,449) and C. succuenta or C. macrantha (10,450). Shrub 9ft. tall, without a central trunk. Sheet 1 of 2 (Same individual as P & S no.5409).
