Habitat: Alnus rugosa thicket (undisturbed) along small stream, forming a well marked transition zone and Salix spp. - Cornus shrub carr and Thuja occidentalis conifer swamp. Populus balsamifera (common), Osmunda claytonia, Matteucia struthiopyteris (prevalent), Onoclea sensibilis, Pilea pumila (abundant), Prunus virginiana, Rhamnus cathartica (common), Vitis riparia, Cornus stolonifera, Viburnum opulus ssp trilobum.
