(2-3dm2 B.A.), Pinus resinosa (1dm2), thickets of saplings of Populus tremuloides Michx., Alnus rugosa (DuRoi) Spreng., Populus balsamifera L., Rubus sp. Mesic old field site. Colonial shrub, 1.5m high, fl slight fragrance, wild bees very active, ovary tomentose. Frequency: uncertain.
