Habitat: Very thin peaty humus atop moist sand, sloping base of flowage dike; very open and sunny, w/ no particular plant dominant and no tussock-forming Carices. Assoc.: Onoclea sensibilis, Thelypteris palustris, Typha latifolia, Agrostis scabra, Calamagrostis canadensis, Phalaris arundinacea. Carex scoparia, Eleocharis erythropoda (very abundant), Scirpus cyperinus, Iris sp., Comptonia peregrina, Polygonum coccineum, P. sagittatum, Ranunculus pennsylvanicus, Potentilla norvegica, Rubus hispidus, Spiraea tomentosa, Euphorbia corollata, Impatiens capensis, Hypericum boreale, Triadenum fraseri, Epilobium leptophyllum, Cicuta bulbifera, Lysimachia terrestris, Asclepias incarnata [see label for more].
