Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Very steep W-facing slope of river bluff, with limestone outcrops. Much grown up with brush and small trees, Rhus glabra, Rhamnus lanceolata, Celastrus scandens, Ulmus macrocarpa, Fraxinus pennsylvanica. Once undoubtedly all prairie and still with a rich flora including Onosmodium, Desmodium illinoense, Silphium laciniatum, Coreopsis palmata, Amorpha canescens, Helianthus occidentalis, Potentilla arguta. Common. Foliage strongly minty aromatic. Flowers pleasantly fragrant.
