Habitat: A large shallow, spring-fed slough (less than 1 m deep), controlled by a culvert through the damn, in floodplain of river, bordered on the north by the dry sand plain. With Pontederia cordata, Nymphaea ordata, Nuphar variegata, Ceratophyllum demersum, Myrophyllum, Elodea, Potamogeton crispus, Vallisneria americana.
Occurrence Remarks: Leaves floating, variously tinged with purple beneath (except the veins); petiole purple. Flowers floating open (10:00 A.M. sunny); petals white; anthers light yellow. Sheet 1 of 2. [sheet 2 is v0293849WIS]
