Habitat: Wet depression surrounded by railroad tracks on all sides. Mostly open with scattered Populus tremuloides seedlings and some Alnus rugosa thickets.Growing with Spirea tomentosa, Rhynchospora capillacea, Rubus hispidus, Lycopus uniflora, Spiranthes cernua Euthamia graminifolia, Liatris pycnostachya, Muhlenbergia uniflora, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Comptonia peregrina, Andropogon gerardii, Agrostis hyemalis, Polygala sanguinea, Juncus canadensis, Juncus marginalis, and Eupatorium perfoliatum.
