Habitat: Dry prairie on sandy loam. Less than 25% cover with apparent wind erosion. Dominated by Schizachryium scoparium, Anaphalis margracitacea, Aster ericoides and Polygonella articulata. With Andropogon gerardii, Sorghastrum nutans, Tephrosia virginica, Geum triflorum, Aster oolentangiensis, Solidago nemoralis, and Coreopsis palmata.
