Northern mesic forest: Acer saccharum (1dom.)-Fagus grandifolia (2 dom.), w/ (in order of decreasing frequency) Tilia americana, Fraxinus americana, & Thuja occidentalis on top of bluff-like peninsula. Edge of gravel parking lot, grassy and weedy, being. invaded by forest understory species. Assoc.: Onoclea sensibilis, Equisetum arvense (abundant on side toward woods), Arabis hirsuta var. pycnocarpa, (on side toward open gravel), Lathyrus ochroleucus, Myosotis sylvatica, Diervilla lonicera, Sambucus pubens seedlings, Aster macrophyllus. Corolla white, fading dull dark yellow.
