Habitat: Medium-good stand of dry RR prairie on undulating ground; Waukesha sandy loam, the surface layer here sandy, acidic, former Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific RR. Assoc.: Panicum oligosanthes var. scribnerianum, Salix humilis, Quercus velutina, Potentilla arguta, Desmodium illinoense, Ceanothus americana, Ambrosia psilostachya, Aster azureus, Conyza canadensis, Solidago nemoralis. Two stems measured, one 12.7, the other 13.5dm tall. Sheet 1 of 4.
