Open top of broad ridge under powerline easement; soil a fine loam underlain by limestone Area of original prairie, heavily pastured in the past, vegetation now starting to grow up to a mixture of prairie & forest spp., Evidently a species requiring semi-open areas, now coming into open areas that are starting to grow up. Pls. loosely clumped, stems 0.71-1.88m tall (1 plant of 1 flring. stem; 3pls of 2 flring. stems; 1 pl. of 5 stems, 4 in flr.; 1 pl. of 6 stems, all in flr.) forming patch. Sheet 1 of 2.
