Habitat: In variable prairie habitat in RR right-of-way. Varying from wet (Spiraea alba) to damp (tall Silphium perfoliatum and Andropogon gerardi) to dry (Andropogon scoparious and Petalostemum candidum). Soil mostly sandy. In full sun. Found at wet end of site. Flowers rare. This spp. common in adjacent wet woods.
