Assoc.: Carex davisii, C. tenera var. echinoides, C. grisea, C. radiata, Menispermum canadense, Polygonum virginianum, Geum canadense, Teucrium canadense, Veronicastrum virginicum, Galium aparine, G. boreale, Erigeron annuus, and Rudbeckia laciniata. Poorly drained, deep or moderately deep silt loam soil.
