Habitat:
Pasture, E-facing slope, partially wooded, with Quercus alba, Ulmus americana, Zanthoxylum americanum. Tree 12m. tall, 35cm. in diameter; bark hard, shallowly furrowed, not flaking, grayish. Crushed foliage with rather biting aroma. Inflorescences abundant, hanging, greenish.
