Habitat:
Low wet meadow adjoining permanent stream - soil sandy-muck (strawberry, Hypnum, other gram., Cyperaceae, etc.). Plants low 2.1-3.4 dm. simple not branched. Culm stiff. Leaves small, sheaths long and inflated. Leaves 2.2-3 cm. long, 4-6 mm wide. Lower leaves are longer, sometimes 2 dm.
