Habitat: Abandoned RR r.o.w. along hwy., grassy but becoming much overgrown by saplings of Ulmus americana, U. rubra, Quercus macrocarpa, Q. velutina, Prunus serotina. Mostly weedly with Poa, Bromus inermis, Agropyron repens, etc. but with a few prairie plants such as Andropogon gerardii, Soghastrum nutans, Silphium terebinthinaceum, Silphium integrifolium. Rare to occasional. Leaves white beneath. Flowers pale rose-purple, slightly fragrant.
