Habitat:
Dry Quercus velutina woods on rocky slope of crumbling sandstone, upper half of S side of bluff; very open, w/ Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Prunus virginiana, Rhus typhina, Carex aenea, Lysimachia quadrifolia, Convolvulus spithameus, Oryzopsis pungens and Antennaria parlinii (10017). Stems & lvs strongly woolly, basal lvs tardily glabrate, stem lvs relatively broad, blunt-tipped.
