Habitat: 2 acre patch of grazed dry prairie on SW-facing hillside surrounded by woods and wooded fence rows of bur oak, hickory, cherry, basswood, elm. Thin, sandy-gravel soil over a sandstone-limestone ridge. Around small rock outcrops in SW part of prairie. Only a few plants of red cedar and ground juniper present.
