Abandoned gravel pit in glacial drift, dry, mostly open with much bare sand and gravel, but some invasion of young Ulmus pumila, Populus deltoides, Lonicera x bella, Morus alba, etc. Quite weedy with A rtemisia caudata, Poa spp., Androsace occidentalis,. Holosteum umbellatum (rare), Lithospermum incisum, and much Melilotus. petals white
