Habitat:
With Osmunda regalis, seedlings of Populus tremuloides, Sium suave, Spiraea alba, Myrica asplenifolia, sterile Salix. Along sides of Hwy. BER. Growing in loose clumps, not forming mounds. Fairly common, > 1000 culms seen, these erect and slightly arching. Fruits smooth, shiny, pearly white. Tip of rhizome white, fleshy.
