Georeference Remarks:
Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat:
Ditch along roadway, wet, over sand and bedrock, with Drosera rotundifolia, Gaultheria hispidula, Lycopodium inundatum, Polytrichum. Growing in an exposed wet sandy ditch which extends for 100 ft. and occurred over a stretch of 30-40 ft. The shallow. ditch is located on either side of the N-S road. It was apparently formed by bulldozing the scant rock and sand debris overlying the bedrock when the rock was constructed. Perhaps brought in by Coast Guard ship visiting the station on the island. Quite a few here, but they were not noticed on the island at the times of two other visits... Mostly only the rather stout clumps of leaves were present; a few bore culms. [More information on label]
