Habitat:
Small (surface area = 25 acres), shallow (max. depth = 26ft) seepage lake of very low fertility; water very clear, acidic; bottom sand & gravel. Only 9 vascular plant spp. present on whole lake, the 6 w/ rosette habit all abundant, mostly submerged &. sterile, partly hidden under 1 in. deep layer of loose muck & algae. Nearshore emergent aquatics, 1 small colony of each of 3 spp., all intermingled, on loose coarse peat over bottom; Assoc. Sparganium angustifolium, E. robbinsii, and Nuphar variegatum, BER. In small bay adjacent bog.
