Habitat:
Small shallow seepage lake with very soft alkaline water. Seasonal and yearly fluctuations in water level maintain sandy and mucky shoreline in open condition. Collected plants from near the boat launch at the W end, in the transition zone between little-used vehicle track and surrounding extensive Black Oak-Jack Pine woodland. Semishade; very sandy soil; assoc.: Carex pensylvanica (very abundant), Polygonum convolvulus, Euphorbia corollata, and Tephrosia virginiana under a River Birch tree.
