Habitat: On floating mats of Eleocharis olivacea. Near-shore aquatics, free-floating or rooted in peaty slurpy muck of bottom or floating mats. S side, wet sunny shore of an unnamed shallow drying-up (alkaline?) seepage lake. Mucky marshy bog-like shore, with. Leersia oryzoides, Psilocarya scirpoides, Eleocharis robbinsii, E. olivacea (forming floating mats), Dulichium arundinaceum, Scirpus smithii, Pontederia cordata, Nymphaea odorata, Utricularia gibba, U. vulgaris, and Bidens cernua.
