Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.

Verbatim Elevation: 840 ft
Habitat: Depression at base of Upper Cambrian sandstone bluff on S side; just about the SW-most of acid-peat bogs (cf. bog shadow map), persisting in a cold pocket. Very soft, coarse mucky peat. Assosicates: Moat: Carex oligosperma, C. chordorihiza, C. rostrata,. Dulichium arundinaceum, Scirpus cypreinus, Hypericum majus, Bidens cernua, B. coronata var. tenuiloba. Mat: Carex oligosperma, Eriophorum virginicum(rare), Hypericum boreale(very rare), Betula glandulifera(abundant), little else. Larix laricina not present, possible burned out by prairie fires sweeping up from the SW. It is very likely that, if disturbed, this bog would be invaded rapidly by the current surrounding flora.
