Habitat: Depression at base of Upper Cambrian sandstone bluff on S side; just about the SW-most of acid-peat bogs (cf. bog shadow map), persisting in a cold pocket. Very soft, coarse mucky peat. Assosicates: Moat: Carex oligosperma, C. chordorihiza, C. rostrata,. Dulichium arundinaceum, Scirpus cypreinus, Hypericum majus, Bidens cernua, B. coronata var. tenuiloba. Mat: Carex oligosperma, Eriophorum virginicum(rare), Hypericum boreale(very rare), Betula glandulifera(abundant), little else. Larix laricina not
