Habitat:
Lightly grazed S and W-facing hillside with rock outcrops. Andropogon scoparius, Rhus glabra, Rhus radicans, Bouteloua curtipendula, Petalostemum purpureum, Aster, Solidago. Apparently native prairie, but somewhat degraded by grazing and invasion by brush.
