Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Vilas, Lac du Flambeau Ind. At the "old village". I also reported the cup plant from the Menominee Indian Reservation last year. [also naturalized in Bad River IR-EJJ 1999]

Habitat: Abandoned fields & clearings. Common. Talked to several of the old Indians who told me the plants have been present there as long as they could remember. One thought they were used for medicine in the "early days".
