Habitat: Dry gravelly slope along roadside with oak savanna/prairie species. Associates include: Euphorbia corollata, Quercus borealis, Amorpha canescens, Andropogon gerardi, Elymus canadensis, Petalostemum purpureum, Ratibida pinnata,. Aster sericaus, Achillea millifolium, Solidago juncea, Erigeon strigosus. Plant about 4 ft. tall.
