Habitat: Edges of woods and middle of overgrown weedy lane, w/ Amphicarpaea bracteata, Daucus carota, Verbena urticifolia, Solidago ulmifolia, Agastache scrophulariaefolia, Eupatorium rugosum. Typical stand of southern xeric forest. (Quercus alba-1-dom., Q. borealis-2 dom., with Prunus serotina and Carya cordiformis); prevalent ground layer spp. incl. Botrychium virginianum, Aralia nudicaulis, other spp. incl. Osmunda claytoniana, Actaea rubra, hackelia virginiana, Aster cordifolius.
