Habitat: Rich mesic to moist, very dense prairie; low flat prairies along lake. Additonal data for Cochrane et al. 11, 274: Old field on dry sand ridge (low value prairie on private property). Associates include: Poa compressa (dominant),. Anenome cylindrica, Asclepias syriaca, A. verticillata, Verbascum thapsus, Aster ericoides, Liatris aspera, Eupatorium altissimum, LIthospermum incisum. This land, used as a golf course from the 1920's through the 1940's, has a value as a buffer zone, as a property contributing to the integrity of the native landscape as a whole, & as habitat...
