Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Abandoned gravel pit in glacial drift, mostly open with much bare sand and gravel, but some invasion of young Ulmus pumila, Populus deltoides, Lonicera x bella, Morus alba, etc. Quite weedy with Poa spp., Androsace occidentalis, Holosteum umbellatum(rare and Lithospermum incisum (collected here May 17, 1981), but at this time of year aspect dominated by Aster spp., Melilotus spp., Artemisia caudata, Verbena stricta, Asclepias verticillata, Sporobolus spp. Common but just beginning to bloom. Rays white.
