Habitat: Muddy creek bank (stream floor sandy, bank w/ thin to thick layer of peaty silt); Carex sp. dominant, w/ much Calamagrostis canadensis & frequent Scirpus validus. Assoc. listed for only a very narrow zone only ca. 1 ft. wide:. Equisetum arevense, E. fluviatile, Sagittaria sp., Agrostis gigantea, Phalaris arundinacea, etc. Additional associates for Cochrane & Cochrane 7261-7265: Pleum pratense, Leersia oryzoides, Carex lanuginosa, C. vulpinoidea, Scirpus atrovirens, Ulmus pumila, Polygonum lapathifolium, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Stellaria media, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Barbarea vulgaris var. arcuata, Impatiens capensis.
