Habitat:
Southern lowland (floodplain) forest along permanently flowing branch (not shown on topo maps) feeding creek. Mature forest (Acer saccharinum dominant, w/ Populus deltoides-2 dom., Acer negundo-3 dom., Ulmus americana-4 dom.). In transition zone. to cat-tail marsh; semi-shade. Two little patches right along very edge of woods, one of 12 stems over a distance of 7 ft., the other of 5 plants around base of an Ulmus americana young tree. The first patch is in semi-shade with Carex stricta (dominant) Solidago canadensis.
