Medium-good stand of dry RR praire on undulating ground, Waukesha sandy loam, surface layer here sandy, acidic; immediate associates are Aristida basiramea, Silene sp., Melilotus alba, Helianthemem bicknellii, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Centaurea maculosa. At edge of gravel road bed. Locally common here & there, forming narrow zone. Sheet 3 of 4.
