Habitat: Floodplain forest on 3ac island. Canopy dominated by silver maple and cottonwood with Ulmus and Celtis in understory. Groundlayer of Toxicodendron rydbergii, Phalaris arundinacea, Elymus virginicus, Laportea canadensis and Euyonomous atropurpurea.
Occurrence Remarks: Three in flower and two juveniles. Sandier soil and higher more vegetated island than Millville but still relatively open moist muddy, sandy ground. Threats from invasives and poison ivy.
