Habitat:
With Lappula virginiana in gravelly pasture on ridge top, beneath a few Quercus macrocarpa. In more or less bare areas, the surrounding open, sodded pasture with only the abundant Ambrosia artemisiifolia. Hybrid with A. artemisiifolia?? From horizontal underground rootstock.
