Habitat:
Calcareous gravel beach and swales,. Smallest plants farthest out towards water, in calcareous muck. These are the most mature, now full bloom, the tallest in grass on mesic ground, just coming into bloom. Though young plants have thicker heads (because older) all parts of 1 population. [mixed collection A. borealis X lanceolatus var. simplex v0027244WIS]
