Disturbed (upper) spring; in very shallow water with Equisetum arvense, Agrostis gigantea, Carex hystericina, Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani, and Juncus nodosus. Spring excavated sometime in the 1980's to make a picnic area, then left alone. Original vegetation had been like that of the surrounding prairie fen, as it is at a nearby, undisturbed second spring.
