Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Rich Acer saccharum, Tilia, Quercus bor. woods with limestone cliffs and boulders. This is a very rich ungrazed Acer saccharum-Tilia americana on a moderate slope, with some Juglans nigra and Carya cordiformis near the bottom and. Quercus borealis near the top. There is a 20 ft. high limestone cliff near the top of the slope and other outcrops and boulders also occur. Trees are in the 10-20" range, with the larger trees at the base of the cliff. Other associates include Aesculus glabra, Dirca palustris, Panax quinquefolia, Cacalia muhlenbergii, Dryoteris goldiana, Carpinus caroliniana, Trillium flexipes, Quercus alba, Cornus alternifolia [see label for more information]
