Habitat: semi-open community on wet non-acid peat, in ways resembling a conifer swamp (Larix laricina dom.; Rhus vernix present), in others a wet prairie (densely grassy, w/ Calamagrostis canadensis dom.; Carex stricta present but not forming tussocks),but the. prevalent groundlayer species a combination of those found in sedge meadow & shrub-carr. Assoc: Thypa latifolia (abu), Thelypteris palustris (comm), Impatiens biflora (comm), Pilea fontana, Polygonum sagittatum, Galium labradoricum, Galium tinctorium, Aster punciceus, Polygonum punctatum, Eupatorium maculatum, E. perfoliatum, Mentha canadensis, Chelone glabra, Cuscuta gronovii, Campanula uliginosa, Cicuta bulbif., Epilobium leptophyllum, Scutellaria galericulata, Rumex orbiculatus [see sheet for more]
