Habitat: At field - tamarack marsh junction with Alnus rugosa, Salix discolor and Larix laracina. In partial sun. Not common. Individuals up to 4 in. dbh. Infested with inchworms. Peeling thin white bark, reddish twigs, sandy colored catkins.
