Habitat: Dry, NW-facing sandy prairie hill growing with Aster pilosus, Gnaphilium obtusifolium, Polygala sanguinea, Lechea sp., Lobelia spicata, Amorpha canescens, Solidago speciosa, Baptisia leucophaea, Andropogon spp., Lespedeza capitata, etc.. BER. In flower mid-afternoon, 2 plants - never seen here before on numerous prior visits. Next visit found 94 plants in 6 groups in about 3 acres.
