Habitat: Wet prairie (acc. to prevalent spp.)-sedge meadow (acc. to dominance by Carex lasiocarpa) w/ low hummoncks on black loamy sand (Dunning sandy loam) at N edge of sphagnous Pinus banksiana woodland. Add. Assoc: Spahgnum, thelypteris paulustris, Andropogon. gerardii, Bromus ciliatus, Calamgrostis canadensis, Glyceria canadensis, Poapalustris, Spartina arundinacea, Carex buxbaumii, C. conoidea, Juncus greenei, J. canadensis, Iris virginica, Spiranthes romanzoffiana, Populus tremuloides, Salix bebbiana, S. discolor, S. humillis, S. petiolaris, Betula, Aronia melanocarpa, Fragaria, Potentilla simplex, Prunus pumila, Rosa paulustris, Rosa blanda, Rubus hispidus, Spiraea alba, S. tomentosa etc. (see label for more). Rare; v. local; 3 stems to 1 clump.
