Extensive, diverse and open fen developed on a combination of sedge peat and marl. Main wet meadow, grading into several scattered, very shallow pond-like depressions and narrow zone of wet marsh along edge of hardwater seepage lake as moisture increases Associated species: Carex laiocarpa dominant, C. sterilis subdominant, w/ thelypteris palustris v. pubescens, Parnassia glauca & Potentilla fruticosa all abundant, & Equisetum arvense, E. fluviatile, Carex buxbaumii, C. leptalea, C. interior, Eleocharis erythropoda, E. pauciflora v. fernaldii, Salix spp. (incl. S. candida, S. pedicellaris), Drosera rotundifolia, Hypericum kalmianum(rare), Pedicularis lanceolata, Cirsium muticum, Aster junciformis, etc. fls. light yellow
