Habitat: Extensive, diverse and open fen developed on a combination of sedge peat and marl. Main wet meadow, grading into several scattered, very shallow pond-like depressions and narrow zone of wet marsh along edge of hardwater seepage lake as moisture increases Associated species: Carex laiocarpa dominant, C. sterilis subdominant, w/ thelypteris palustris v. pubescens, Parnassia glauca & Potentilla fruticosa all abundant, & Equisetum arvense, E. fluviatile, Carex buxbaumii, C. leptalea, C. interior, Eleocharis
