Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: Dry, sandy upper flats with Solidago altissima, Rubus sp. In dense Quercus cf. ellipsoidalis, Populus tremuloides stand where full canopy has recently become established, but with Solidago cf. gigantea, Potentilla simplex,. Veronicastrum virginicum, Spiraea alba and other relics of the old pasture "prairie" still perisisting, farm land ungrazed for at least 17 years. Former prairie and oak savanna prior to the 1840's. Pedical purple, sepals green, petals lighter purple than pedical. odorless. (6:00 PM) Approximately 100 plants in very loose "colony"
