Habitat: Common at base of slope in old patch of Rhus glabra, Solidago altissima, Prenanthes alba, Dioscorea villosa, Sanguinaria canadensis, Tilia americana, Carya cordiformis. Bluff with sandstone (apparently highly calcareous) cliff near top. Rich, now ungrazed, woods of Tilia americana, Acer saccharum on NE facing slope Panex quinquefolia , Taxus canadensis, Zygadenus, Asarum canadense
