Habitat: wet-mesic conifer/hardwoods forest along S-bank of river. Silt loam over outwash. Dominants: Tsuga, Pinus strobus, Acer saccharum, A. rubrum, Betula alleghaniensis, Fraxinus americana; also present are Tilia, Quercus borealis, Abies, Acer spicatum,. Sambucus pubens, Dirca, Taxus, Lonicera canadensis. Herb layer includes: Maianthemum, Uvularia sessilifolia, Streptopus roseus, Carex plantaginea, Lycopodium complanatum etc. 100's of plants; lip white with purple spots
