Habitat: Pine Barren in sand prairie with scattered small trees and low shrubs. Growing with Quercus macrophylla, Comptonia peregrina, Andropogon gerardii, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Carex pensylvanica, Hieracium scabrum, Solidago hispida, S. speciosa, etc.
Occurrence Remarks: Analysis of the Vegetative Cover of the Brule River Watershed, Revisited 2015-2018. Perennial herbaceous vine climbing over vegetation.
