Habitat: Dominant trees included the usual silver maple, green ash, and American elm, as well as box elder. A diversity of other habitats are present, including, significant areas of high-quality prairie on the upstream portion as well as areas of shrub-carr and sedge meadow. Notable prairie species included Baptisia alba, Spartina pectinata, Andropogon gerardii and Schizachyrium scoparium.
