Habitat: Pine Barren in sand prairie with scattered small trees and low shrubs. Growing with Quercus elipsiodalis, Q. macrophylla, Comptonia peregrina Prunus americana, Carex pensylvanica, Andropogon gerardii, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Conyza canadensis, Helianthemum canadense, Hieracium aurantiacum, Lysimachia quadrifolia, Schizachyrium scoparium, Solidago nemoralis, etc.
Occurrence Remarks: Analysis of the Vegetative Cover of the Brule River Watershed, Revisited 2015-2018. Annual herb with yellow flowers.
